The Wingfoil Stars at Boot Düsseldorf
Boot Düsseldorf – it is time! Internationally known professional surfers and World Cup stars feel in their element at boot Düsseldorf. Many well-known names have already signed up for the season opener.
On the first weekend of the fair, 42-time windsurfing world champion Bjørn Dunkerbeck will be a guest in the surf hall together with his son and now professional water sportsman Liam Dunkerbeck, and will be on hand on and off the stage for individual questions and autograph requests.
On the new XXL pool, the wing cracks Finn Flügel (youth kite world champion), Balz Müller, Steeve Fleury and Michael Näf, among others, will bring the pool to the boil and demonstrate the latest jumps and turns with their wing material in combination with the 34 wind machines.
But it’s not just wingfoiling that’s in vogue at the moment. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for wind – so pump-foiling was invented, where you have to keep the wingfoilboard above water with leg- and bodywork. Here the pros are accompanied by the Starboard Rookie Team and entertain the audience on both weekends.
For windsurfers who crave action, there will be the Tow-In Show again this time, for which some stars have already signed up. Lennart Neubauer, Junior World Champion and Tow-In European Champion, will not miss the fun on the pool and so you will probably not see the young pro in dry clothes on the first weekend.
The much-traveled pro surfer Flo Jung will also be at the boot on the first weekend to talk about his season.
On the second weekend, the European champion Maaike Huvermann from the Netherlands will demonstrate her skills at Tow-In and Wingfoiling in front of the Düsseldorf audience and talk about the number one trend in water sports.
She will be supported by the new star in the Wingfoil World Cup, the only 15 year old Xavi Corr from the Freewing/AK Durable Team.
Also our 5-time wave world champion Philip Köster will not miss boot Düsseldorf and swap the summer on Gran Canaria for the wet and cold Düsseldorf on the second weekend.
The third placed of the World Cup ranking Lina Erpenstein will also be in Düsseldorf on the second weekend of the show to reveal in the exotic South Sea atmosphere in hall 17 in a personal conversation where she will spend her winter training and what is planned for the upcoming season.
For all material junkies – the following brands will be represented in Hall 17 at Boot Düsseldorf:
AK Durable, Airush Kiteboarding, Cala Boards, Cloud IX Foils, Ensis Wings, F2 Fun & Function, Gunsails, GP Sports, Indiana Paddlesurf, Jimmy Lewis Boards, Liquid Force, Moai, Nautix, Point 7, PPC Foiling, Starboard, Severne Sails, Tabou Boards, Tiki Boards, GA Sails, Siren SUP, X-Wake.
