I am an absolute beginner, did a few times windsurfing and I am very interested in trying the WINGFOIL 😀 Can someone explain me what I should take care of? Sizes, Brands whatever? xxx
F-one is a brand that has the perfect wings, foils and boards for learning to wing foil.
Their swing is the most user friendly for beginners and is also one of the best wings out there for any level of riding.
Their foils have a lot of bouyancy which helps you get up onto the foil with very little effort and pumping.
And they also have a whole range of boards specific for wing foiling, however as a beginner you can also use one of the SUP foil boards that have even more stability on the waters surface than their wing specific boards which cater more for the intermediate level of wing foilers.
I made my first wing foil steps on a old windsurfing board - not even with a foil - just to get used to the wing. And later the first steps on the foil also on a old windsurfing (formula) board.
Later i had my best success with a Fanatic SkyWing and a big Fanatic Foil (2000). This combination worked really well for me and soon i was able to jibe in flat water and have my first switch rides.
But actually it is pretty hard - where to begin? There is so much equipment and brands out there - which is a bit confusing.
I want to share my experience, to advice others who were thinking to adquire a Foil from redwoodpaddle Pwr-foil. A usually good quality/price products.
I bought one of the three oils models they have (1500,2000,2500), in the pics they show just one configuration with 50cm rear wing, but I received a smaller 34cm span stabilizer, no info in the web about this...
I called them to check if this was an error, as this rear wing was not what I was thinking to receive... And told them it was gonna be more reactive and less stable.
They told me that for 1500 and 2000 they send this rear wing... No error... Their engineers, besides what I could know or think, say this is perfect...
Not recommended to buy for begginers
